A Guide to Fall Menus in Northwest Austin’s Mom & Pop Eateries
Sip Saam Thai
6301 W Parmer Ln #505, Austin, TX 78729
The flavors at Sip Saam are always so fresh and bright. If you’ve missed this spot, you should go now. Great food and prices, plus a cool space they’ve recently renovated. They’re currently featuring a Green Curry Kabocha Squash & Shrimp, with tender Kabocha Squash. Made w/ minty basil herbs, bamboo shoots, and green onions and served w/ Jasmine Rice.

They also have a new dish, Vermicelli Noodle Pad Se Ew, which is Glass noodles wok’d in our dark Sweet Soy and Garlic Sauce and a choice of Chicken, Pork or Tofu, Shrimp/Beef, or Combo.
For dessert, try the Pumpkin Thai Custard, a traditional Thai dessert made of soft pumpkin, egg custard, and coconut milk.

Both the food and beverage menus feature seasonal fare at Oasthouse. Check out the seasonal cocktails and rotating taps, as well as farm-to-table seasonal items on the dinner menu. Always outstanding.

Kerbey Lane Cafe
13435 US-183 #415, Austin, TX 78750
Kerbey Lane Cafe always offers seasonal fare. If you’re the type to go crazy over pumpkin stuff, you’ll be delighted by the Pumpkin Pancakes and the Pumpkin French Toast Platter. Not everybody goes for pumpkin spice though, which is fine because they’ve got all kinds of other Fall treats such as Chili & Cornbread — Akaushi beef chili, mixed cheese, red onions, homemade grilled cornbread, the Harvest Omelet, and Green Chili Pork Hash. Check out the whole seasonal menu here.

They also offer $5 cocktails & appetizers during happy hour, Monday through Friday from 3-6:30 PM and $5 frozen drinks on weekends from 10 AM-3 PM. A great cocktail to try for Fall would be the Maple Tap (Whiskey, lemon, maple syrup, black walnut bitters, oranges.)…sounds divine!
Mod Pizza
Cupprimo Cupcakery & Coffee Spot
8650 Spicewood Springs Rd #105, Austin, TX 78759
Cupprimo has daily specials throughout the Fall…I’ll be a Friday girl for that German Chocolate Cupcake, and Wednesday isn’t looking so bad with Butterbeer (Butterscotch Toffee Cake filled with and drizzled with butterscotch and topped with crumbled toffee). Their cupcakes are always beautiful and decadent, and the seasonal menu is full of amazing flavors.
