For the past two years, I’ve been working on becoming my own brand’s illustrator. After publishing my first two books with my friend Kendra Shedenhelm as my illustrator, sadly she was no longer available to work on my books. So, although I have a third book written (grilling!), I’ve been taking my time getting up to speed for the job of illustrating my books in the series “A Home Cook’s Dozen”. I thought I’d share some of my work here to show the development of my style.

Experimenting with different pens and inks, charcoal, papers, and styles keeps me busy. I’m still working to settle in on the right style for my books, and thus, perhaps it is explained to those awaiting my third cookbook. Thanks for your support, and I hope you enjoy my work.
You can observe my processes in art, writing, cooking and all that I share on Instagram as “mdelishboutique” if you wish. Thanks for visiting my kitchen love.
