- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 diced onion
- 3 1/2 lbs fresh tomatoes, peeled, seeded and roughly chopped OR two 28 oz cans dices or crushed tomatoes (or a combo of any of those)
- 2 tablespoons dried basil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
1. Add olive oil and onion to the saucepan.
2. Saute until onions are translucent.
3. Add remaining ingredients.
4. Simmer for about thirty minutes. Serve over pasta, chicken, or fish.
